SI Instruments is now distributing the RheinTech’s digital handheld Rotaro tachometer which is suitable for use in the mineral processing industry.
The compact tachometer has two measuring methods; the optical method, which measures up to 99,999 RPM without making contact and the mechanical method, which uses an adapter and various probes to measure up to 19,999 RPM.
The supplier says the optical method makes use of a precise light beam and with a piece of reflective tape affixed to the rotating element, which can be up to 60 cm away. The rotational speed appears immediately on the five-digit LCD.
The mechanical method permits the user to connect an adapter that accepts a variety of contact probes, as well as a surface speed wheel.
The easy-to-read LCD shows the measured value and the selected engineering units, as well an indication of the selected measuring mode.
