BHP BILLITON is requesting six more Low Frequency Microwave (LFM) moisture analysers be delivered to its iron ore expansions in the Pilbara.

The LFMs are to be delivered by Intalysis to manage dust in iron ore operations.

The delivery will bring the number of LFM moisture analysers installed at BHP’s Pilbara operations to over 30.

The analyser continuously measures the moisture content of iron ore to determine the amount of water needed to prevent unwanted dust.

Intalysis has built over 80 moisture analysers for a number of mineral processing applications that are distributed around the world.
