ALLPLASTICS says it now supplies and machines PEEK (Polyetheretherketone )Sheet and Rod which is suitable for use in the mineral processing industry.
PEEK is the high temperature plastic with outstanding properties. It is a semi crystalline, high performance thermoplastic for very demanding applications where temperature resistance up to 250°C, excellent chemical resistance and high mechanical properties are required.
Allplastics says PEEK can be used for gears, wear strips, metering pumps, light mountings, friction bearings, ball valve seals, pump housings, wafer support and plug parts.
The supplier says the material features high thermal mechanical bearing strength, creep resistance, strength, good chemical resistance, hydrolysis resistance, good sliding properties, wear and UV resistance and good machinability.
