Platinum Australia uses capital raising for minerals processing gains

PLATINUM Australia says the funds from its successful capital raising of $61.2 million will be used to ramp up to full production and commence shipments of concentrates from its Smokey Hills Project to the Impala Platinum Smelter.

The company says that commissioning of the plant at Smokey Hills Platinum Mine has progressed to the point where treatment of higher grade stockpiles has begun, some of which run up to plus 8 g/t 4E PGM, and focusing on ramping up to full production.

John Lewins Managing Director of Platinum says the response to the offer was pleasing.
